Kansas Pregame is the Sunflower State's only full color, glossy, statewide preseason high school and college football magazine, and it's free through the advertisers who sponsor each team.

Founded in 2006 by John Baetz and Tim McGonagle, the magazine has grown from covering 116 mostly western Kansas high schools in a black and white publication to covering 302 of the state's 341 high school and 27 of the state's 28 college football programs in a full color glossy magazine.

Baetz and his wife Bree bought McGonagle's share of the publication in 2008 and now operate the magazine and its Web site, KansasPregame.com, as part of their publishing company, Sixteen 60 Publishing, based in Lincoln, Kansas. The couple also operates two weekly newspapers and are currently in the process of completing the state's first ever wrestling magazine, Kansas Mat Preview.

In 2009 Kansas Pregame entered a cooperative agreement with Kpreps.com, the state's foremost resource for Kansas high school football coverage on the Internet. Kpreps.com owners Matt Gilmore and Andy Wachter have agreed to work collaboratively with KansasPregame.com to provide the most attractive, comprehensive, original and accurate Web site for high school football on the Internet.
