Teams split 8-Man All-Star games

East dominates DII game, West wins close DI contest

The two teams split the 8-Man All-Star games in Beloit, Saturday, with the East dominating the DII contest, 54-22, behind the dynamic play of quarterbacks Garrett Maltbie (Canton-Galva) and Isaac Detweiler (Axtell), while the West edged the East in the DI game, 28-22.

Festivities kick-off in Beloit this Friday for the 38th Kansas 8-Man All-Star games, beginning with a 4:00 p.m. pep rally at Chautauqua Park, followed by a night of events and activities, before kicking off Saturday morning with the Division II game at 10:00 a.m. and the DI matchup to follow at 1:30 p.m. at Trojan Field, home of the Beloit High Trojans.
