KBCA All-Star weekend punctuated with OT contest

Talexa Weeter led Blue squad edges off Gold in girls matchup, Eli Shetlar's Gold rallies back to force OT in boys contest

Result: In the girls contest, Goodland's Talexa Weeter led Blue to a 68-61 win over the Gold as the game's leading scorer with 14, while Berean Academy's Lillie Veer led Gold with 11. The boys game that followed saw the Gold squad rally from a 3-point deficit at half to force OT with the score tied at 107, before going on to win the contest 119-114. Andover's Eli Shetlar led Gold in scoring with 24 points, while Basehor-Linwood's Tyson Ruud and Blue Valley Northwest's Grant Stubblefield added 22 each for Blue. Weeter and Stubblefield were named Kansas Mr. and Mrs. Basketball prior to the start of each of their contests.
