Early last summer we released our annual Kansas Pregame Spring Edition. It was supposed to be a spring preview released in late March, but COVID had other plans. But our people quickly made the decision to pivot and expand the original preview into a "what might have been" look at the spring season and a postseason yearbook for all the sports we cover.

The publication is the thing I'm most proud of thus far in a 20-year newspaper and magazine publishing career.

If you missed it, check it out here:

Now, what do we do for an encore?

Well, my goal is to make the yearbook expansion a regular addition to our annual spring preview. But, it's a tremendous amount of work and can't be completed without your help.

First and foremost, we want to continue our statewide preview coverage of baseball, softball and track & field, especially considering an entire season was lost last spring. To continue our accurate and extensive coverage it's imperative we receive questionnaires from the largest number of coaches possible.

Coaches, look for emails in the coming days or find links to them at our Forms & Submissions page.

Next, we need to track down photos for the team state champions and runners-up for cross country, football and volleyball, and later basketball and wrestling, while also securing individual photos of all-state players from each of those sports.

If you are a parent or a coach to a member of a championship team or an all-state player from one of the sports listed above, please help us track down high-quality photos of your team and athletes. For more information, please email us at kansaspregame@gmail.com or text me at (785) 524-6019.

Finally, sponsorship advertising is our only source of revenue. We continue to seek sponsors for our full color, glossy keepsake editions - the only statewide sports magazines for Kansas - and appreciate interest from anyone who would like to see our coverage continue to grow.

Our list of sponsors over the years includes attorneys, banks, hospitals, restaurants, retail stores, service organizations, booster clubs, local farmers, parents and grandparents and many, many more. If you would like to make free copies available in your community or just make sure you have access to hard copies to cherish with your family for years to come, please email us at kansaspregame@gmail.com or text me at (785) 524-6019.

I look forward to 2021 returning to normalcy, to winter sports teams completing their seasons and spring sports teams getting a season, and to providing another high quality trio of statewide sports magazines.
