
Kansas Sports Hall of Fame Chairman Jim Dunning, Jr. announced today the selection of the 10 individuals to be inducted, Saturday, August 2 in Topeka.
The class includes award-winning coaches, Olympians, national champions, All-Americans, and World and American-record holders.
“This is an accomplished group and one the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame is extremely proud to recognize on behalf of the entire state,” Dunning said. "The individuals represent the best of the state of Kansas and come from diverse backgrounds. Their stories provide inspiration to all Kansans.”

Promoting good sportsmanship at all Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) events continues to be a priority for Kansas and its member schools. The inaugural League Sportsmanship award allowed each league/conference to identify a KSHSAA Basketball Sportsmanship League/Conference Champion. A total of 36 Kansas high schools were eligible to receive recognition by KSHSAA for outstanding sportsmanship during the 2024-2025 Basketball season with one from each league/conference selected by their peers.

The Bill Snyder Family/Sunflower Chapter of the National Football Foundation has announced its special recognition awards for the 2024-25 academic year.
The winners will be honored at the annual chapter awards dinner to be conducted May 7 at the Shamrock Plaza at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, Kan. Check-in and a reception begin at 5 p.m., with dinner at 6 p.m. (NOTE: 12 student-athletes who are high school seniors in 2024-25 will be announced later as Sunflower Chapter scholarship award winners).

The Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association (KWCA) has announced the high school senior wrestlers who have accepted their invitation to wrestle in the 2nd annual KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals. The KWCA Kansas Shrine Duals will be held on Saturday, March 29th, 2025, at Fugate Gymnasium on the campus of Newman University in Wichita, Kansas. Gates open at 1:00 pm and the opening ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm.
