State Championship Picks

Here's our best guess at the winners of this weekend’s state championship football playoff games, and we took it one step further by trying to guess the games in order of closest margin to widest as indicated by the number beside each pick. Just a note, the higher number doesn’t mean we’re necessarily anticipating a blowout.

Offered without comment, here's our best guess at the winners of this week's semifinal football playoff games. As always, good luck to all teams this postseason and congratulations on making the final four in your class. Remember, let the players play, the coach's coach, and the officials officiate, and be a great fan of Kansas high school football.

Here we are, the quarterfinal round of the playoffs, and there are a bunch of great games, as it should be at this point in the postseason. Here's our best guess at who will win this week's contests, and they were tough to pick. We've added a level of difficulty by trying to pick the games in order of final margin and numbered them one through four with number one the game we believe will be the closest and number four the one we think will have the largest margin of victory.

Teams across Kansas storm into the Regional round of the playoffs this week with numerous games moved to Thursday night in anticipation of inclement weather in a large swath of the state on Friday night.

We decided to take a stab at guessing the winners of this week’s playoff games below, but also took it a step further by trying to predict the closest contest in each classification indicated by an asterisk.
